This gourmet cheeseburger is bursting with flavor from perfectly seasoned beef, melted cheese, and a medley of fresh toppings. It's the ultimate comfort food that will delight your taste buds with every bite.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 brioche buns
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 8 slices of pickles
Instructions
Preheat your grill or frying pan over medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates or the pan with olive oil.
In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently to combine.
Divide the mixture into four equal parts and shape each into a patty slightly larger than the buns, making a small indent in the center to prevent puffing up.
Place the patties on the grill or frying pan and cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side for medium, or until your desired doneness.
During the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty to melt.
Toast the brioche buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster for about 1 minute.
In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, and Dijon mustard to make the burger sauce.
To assemble, spread a tablespoon of the sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Layer with a lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato, a cooked patty with melted cheese, pickles, onion slices, and cover with the top half of the bun.
Serve the gourmet cheeseburger immediately with your choice of sides.
